WEBSITE IS ONLINE!!!

The website is renewed and online!
It took a while and I've not finished placing all the articles but it's a start and I hope you'll enjoy!
For now only the Dutch version is online, but you can use the Google translator. Later I will translate the text in English, but it will not be this year.

For all the dutch people, if you find something incorrect, if you suggestions, please let me know!

Enjoy!

Nieuwe wandel/renschoenen: Salomon Speed Cross

Carving: spoon

In Holland is the weather great at the moment and the sun is just shining in our garden.
A great moment to practice some carving. I found a nice peace of birch and after an hour an half the spoon is ready (the left one).

I've used the Mora Erik Frost 160 and the Mora Erik Frost 164 carving knives. You can buy this at my shop.

Website update

Today I've added my first article on the Shop page. The Mora Frost Clipper 840 knife.
Fantastic low budget knife made from carbon steel. We use this knife during our Bushcraft trips.

I had contact with Mora Frost of Sweden. I want to sell their knives on my webpage.
Now I'll hope they want too.

Helmet Cam

Since one year I have this Oregon Scientifics Cam and I woundered if it was possible to fix it on my helmet.
After an half hour I just did. I had to remove the filling, but it is very simple with a Petzl helmet. After having drilled four holes, I could fasten the camera.
I do not know how that feels when climbing but I feel that he is a bit heavy on one side ... I hope I don't get neck problems!
Within three weeks I'll go climbing in southern France and then I know more!

Gear Review - Petzl Ultra Belt

I'm the proud owner of a great headlight. On this moment the most powerfull headlight on the market with a new generation power LEDs: the Petzl Ultra Belt Accu2!

Specifications:
350 lumens - 120 meters!
High-output, extremely large capacity ACCU 2 ULTRA rechargeable battery pack (Lithium Ion 2000 mAh)
ULTRA quick charger: 100/240 V EUR/US compatible quick wall charger
Length of power cord: 1.30 m
Degree of protection: IP 66
Weight: 375 g (lamp 230 g + ACCU 2 ULTRA remote battery pack (145 g)

It's not very cheap but I need it for my work and after a few caving trips I can only say that I'm amazed about the power! For the smaller parts of the caves I've just used the lowest position and even then is the light much more powerfull then any other headlights of the members who where with me!

Natuurlamp.nl

One of my favorite hobbies is to collect nice and old pieces of wood during my walks or canoeing on my holidays. With this wood I will try to make lamps. Every piece of wood as a story to tell us.
I'm almost ready with my website where I can sell the lamps. It will not be a big selling company for I am very critical which piece of wood is good enough for a nice lamp.

Gear Review - Expedition Hammock

For over one year i've got this Expedition Hammock and I've used it allready in Luxemburg and Scotland and I've have to say, it's a great thing!
You don't need mattresses and a tent so that's less of weight and it's a very small package.
You don't need a flat ground only two trees (and they don't need to be big).
The only little disadvantage is with cold weather. The Hammock doesn't isolate so well, and even with a very good sleeping bag you will feel the cold air beneath you.
By the way the picture above is made in october 2009 in Scotland at a beautyfull spot just after Loch Laggan at the Pattack Falls.
