The website is renewed and online!
It took a while and I've not finished placing all the articles but it's a start and I hope you'll enjoy!
For now only the Dutch version is online, but you can use the Google translator. Later I will translate the text in English, but it will not be this year.
For all the dutch people, if you find something incorrect, if you suggestions, please let me know!
Enjoy!

Johnny Hoogerland: a hero!
People like Johnny Hoogerland are an example for many other. I do not even mean the tenacity or the mental strength of Johnny to stand up and sitting back on his bike and finish the Tour stage in time with this terrible woundings on his leg! What really touched me the most is that after the stage, just over the finish line, barely recovered from fright, exhaustion, disappointment and a missed opportunity to win the stage, he has not an ounce of anger and in the interview says that the driver of the car probably couldn't do anything to avoid the accident and did it not by purpose, so it makes no sense to be angry !!!!!!!!
Respect! To me, people like him I can learn a lot from ...
This is the video of the accident with the dramatic comment of the Dutch television:
This is the video of the jersey inauguration... very emotional and even I had to loss a tear!
This is the video witch I was spoken above. The interview where Johnny told the media that the driver in the car did it not by purpose.
The result of the this accident is 33 stitches all over his leg and butt, but he will not stop and is driven to start tomorrow! We all hope that he will be able not only to finish the Tour but also able to fight for the mountain jersey.

EHBBO Zermatt - Day 3
Today, the last day of our course, we had lot of improvised emergency situations/casualties: resuscitation, fractures, epilepsy, heatstroke, arterial bleeding, etc
We had to handle quickly and secure and the most important we had to be aware of the environment situation and work as a team.
After a great day we received our certificate! Thanks to Menno, Uwe, Katarina and Oliver for this great experience!

EHBBO Zermatt - Day 2 night
At 20.00 we received an emergency call from the Rescue Service Zermatt. A man was lost on his way to Tisch. He was seen at Zermatt for the last time. A German older man with good hiking experience.
So we organised a team with a leader and we started a rescue operation.
After a short hike we found the man AND a women serial injured.
The man was hit by the women while she was descending with her mountainbike. He was also drunk after his stay at Zermatt.
The woman was badly injured with lots of broken parts.
It was a great operation because we had to deal also with a lot of environment factors like coldness, darkness, upcoming rain, etc.

EHBBO Zermatt - Day 2
Today we started with a theoretical introduction of General Helicopter Guidelines.
What do you have to do and more important what not to do when an helicopter approches you.
After some "dry" practice in the helicopter in the hangar it was time to get to the real work... outside and on rough terrein.
That was a great experience. I had allready experienced a rescue situation with helicopter in 2004 with other 80 people on the Mont Blanc.
It started also to rain a little bit and normally that's not a problem but on slippery rocks it can be a very stresfull situation.
We returned to base and after the lunch and a lots of interesting video's of rescue situations the weather was good enough to effectuate the MERS, the Multi Evacuation Rescue System.
Hanging on a cable with other 4 people under an helicopter almost 150 meters high and with an amazing speed, will give you lots of adrenaline!
It was a great and learning day... but it's not finished yet because at 20.00 o'clock we have a night rescue module.

EHBBO Zermatt - Voorbereiding
Aufwidersnitzel of zoiets!
